Sacred Tapu

In RE we learnt about  what sacred means and what is sacred.  Sacred means holy. If something is sacred then it is holy. If something is holy it also has tapu.       What do you know that is sacred?

Internet safety with Interland

WALT: To understand Internet safety.

Today for Cybersmart we were showed how to do Interland.  How to  play Interland is that there are four land and you are an Internaut. The games are called Kind Kingdom, Tower Treasure, Mindful Mountain and a river one that I forgot the name. My favourite ones are Kind Kingdom and Tower Treasure.  The purpose of King Kingdom is to give positive comments and to report the bullies.  The purpose of Tower Treasure to guard your information.  The purpose of Mindful Mountain is to be careful with what you share to what people. And the purpose of the river one is to be careful with what you do online.

The Great Escape

WALT to handle our emotions.
  The great race was one of the STEM activity's that Room 4 does with Room 2.   The STEM challenges are when we do challenges to work as a team.  The challenge was to find clues to get out of the room.   My team was  Kate W, Anya, Sophie and I, we came third.  What worked well was that we worked well together and some of the questions were easy.  Most of them were hard though.  Our goal is to do less talking more working out!!!

Baptism

This blog post is about Baptism.  Baptism is one  of  the third sacrament of Initiation.  The words that the priest says when he baptises is "I baptise you in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Any one can be baptised at any age.  Infants have been baptised since long ago.   Have you been baptised?  Made by Lily-Rose and Scarlett.

Church information

Kia Ora everyone!  This is my google drawing about Church stuff.  Do you know about worshipping God? Because I do!!!  It's okay if you don't know because going to show you how!  It's pretty easy to do.  You can either sing songs about him or you can pray.  It's okay if your not Christian.  How you pray is you say Dear God/Jesus, then you say what you need help with then say Amen. Then you are  done!  My google drawing is about: Who you can pray with,were you can pray and a verse from the bible.   The verse is "For where two or three gather in my name,there I am with them"  Matthew 18:20.  It means it doesn't matter how many come to worship him he will still be there.

Magical Museum

On Monday we went to the Museum with Room 1.  We went on a double decker  bus.  When  we got to the Museum we went through Safety.  Then our leader Anthony said that polar bears have black skin and clear fur.  They also have hollow fur that acts like a duvet.  Then we went in the Arctic voice exhibition.  I was in knowlege heaven! I researched about the Snowy Owl.The Snowy Owl have feathers on it's toes.  It also camoflages. We did a scavenger hunt but my group was really disruptive. My favourite part was the Arctic Voice exhibition because I learned a lot.  Whats your favourite part of the Museum?

Statistics is showing your information in bar graphs, pictogram's and tally charts.  My favourite is the bar graphs because you get to rule the lines and colour the graphs in.  To make a bar graphs and/or pictogram's you need to gather information .  To gather information you have to make a tally chart go around the classroom or neighbourhood. One tally mark= 1 vote.  You try to do either the whole class/ neighbourhood or do what you can then add up the votes in the different sections and see which one won!  You share the imformation with who ever you interveiwed and your done!
