Helpful Harold

 WALT: Write a letter.

Today in distance learning for writing we had to write a letter to Harold.  (The giraffe that visits schools and teaches them about being healthy.)  You had to tell him about what you have been doing in lock down. I wrote it in Google Docs.  It was an easy activity to do and I finished it quickly.  It was a fun activity to do as well.  I really like it when Harold visits our school.  Here is the letter that I wrote.

Dear Harold,

My name is Lily-Rose and I am a Year 6 student at New Brighton Catholic School.  We are answering your letter as part of our learning.  I have been doing a lot of school work and I have been going outside on the trampoline for at least an hour a day.  I have also been cleaning out my room too.  I put all my china ornaments on one shelf and all my porcelain dolls on the other shelf.  I have also been doing some painting and baking.  I LOVE baking chocolate chip cookies and brownies.  We have been going for bike rides along the river every second day.  Thank you for your letter.

Sincerely,

Lily-Rose.

What would you have written if you did the activity?

  1. Hi Lily-Rose
What a well written blog post. You have started by telling me about the activity and the proceeded to write a great letter to Harold. I think Harold would be very interested in all your lockdown activities, it looks like you have been super busy. I'm pleased to see you have been keeping your room tidy, do you have to other jobs around the house in lockdown?
