Temple Drawing

WALT:  To draw a picture of Jesus in the temple.
Today for RE we had to draw Jesus as a boy reading parchments in the temple.   I worked together with Kate and Scarlett.   I drew the man saying "This is so inspiring", Scarlett drew Jesus reading the parchment and Kate drew Mary saying "Where are you Jesus?".   It was hard because I can NOT draw people on their knees and I can NOT draw boys.  But I think it turned out pretty well.  We drew it on a piece of paper and I took a photo of it.   Do you know what happens in the temple?

Movie review

WALT: To do a Movie review.
This week we had to do a movie review about Ice age 2: The Meltdown.   It was fun to do because we got to watch the movie.   I worked together with Kate.  It was hard because we sometimes didn't know what to write.  I took a Screenshot of it.   Have you watched Ice age 2?

Yesterday in Maths we had to work out questions using a special strategy.  I did it in my maths book.  It was quite easy to do, but the hardest part was adding the numbers together.   I took a picture of my working out in my book.   Do you have a strategy that you like to use?

The Samoan Flag

WALT: To draw the Samoan Flag and post it to our blog.
Today for Samoan Language Week we had to draw the Samoan Flag.  I drew the flag myself and took a photo of it.  I liked drawing it because it meant I got to use my new felt pens.  It was difficult though trying to draw the stars on the flag.    Do you have a Samoan culture in your family?  If you do who has the Samoan culture?

WALT: To make a description of our class dojo character.   I got the picture from My Class Dojo.  Do you like my description?
My character has golden and chocolate  brown fur.  His ears has a splotch of raspberry pink.  He is eagerly smiling and his eyes are as wide as the moon.

The animation of the Ascension of Jesus.

In RE we had to make a animation about the ascension of Jesus.   It was hard some times, because we some times didn't know what else to do.  I did the animation on google slides.  I worked together with Scarlett and Kate.  What do you know about the ascension?

Today for maths we had to answer eight questions without using number lines.    [Number lines are the strategy we have been using.]  My friend Kate and I worked together.   We each did four questions.  My questions that I answered are the ones that are black with green around the edge.  What strategy do you like using?

Three of my favourite books

WALT: To make a blog post of  your three favourite books.
Today in Reading we had to post our three favourite books along with a photo and a paragraph about the book.  These are mine.  I got the photos off the internet because I don't have the books at school.  What  are your favourite books?

Starfell: Willow Moss and the lost day.   This book is  great.   It has magic, teamwork, evilness and lots of other things.  I would totally recommend this book.  7+

Jane Blonde:  sensational spylet.
This book is an amazing book.  It has lots of funny bits and most people will love G-mamma. [one of the main characters]   The main character is a girl called Janey Brown.  6+

Big Nate: The crowd goes wild.
This book  by Lincoln Peirce  is AMAZING!  It is funny, cool and AMAZING.  I love the Big Nate series, they are so funny.  I didn't know what one of the series to choose.  In the end I choose this one.

In Reading today we had to make a google drawing or a drawing of who were in our bubbles during the lock down  period.   This is my google drawing.   Who was in your bubble?

Faithful

WALT:  To learn about how to be Faithful.
Today in R.E we had to watch a video about being Faithful.  In the video a puppet called Douglas told us about Faithfulness.  He told us to always put God first.  If you put God first your problems becomes clearer.   Your  problems don't necessarily becomes easy, but they become clearer.  That's why you should put God first.     Who are you faithful to?

Super Cool Duffy!

WALT: To select and read texts for enjoyment and fulfilment.
Today we got Duffy books at school.   The books I chose were Revenge of the Sis and Unschooled.  

 I think that Revenge of the Sis will be about Christina Starspeeder and she is at a Jedi Academy.    I  also think that Unschooled is about some kids who go crazy at school so the don't get much school work done.   Have you read these books?

Word problems.

WALT: Add using tens and hundreds.

In Maths to day we had to turn these maths problems into word problems.  Charlotte need 800 cookies for her bake sale.  But she only had 287.  How many more does she need? Kate needed  to find 700 hundred pieces of LEGO to make her Harry Potter set.   But she only has found 432 pieces.  How many more does she need to find? Can you work these out??

The class room

WALT to make a drawing of our class room in a different format.
Today in Geometry  we had to make a drawing of how you want the class room to look.  [we still had to have the same objects, we just had to rearrange it.]  Then the class votes on which on is their favourite.   Do you like what I did?
