New Brighton

WALT: To write a persuasive brochure convincing people to come to New Brighton.

In Writing we had to make a brochure to convince people to visit New Brighton.  I did it on google slides.  It was fun and easy to do.  Here it is.  Do you like what I did?  If you do please comment!

How to work out our six, seven and eight times tables using our five times tables.

WALT:How to work out our six, seven and eight times tables using our five times tables.

In maths we had to learn a new strategy.  We had to learn to work out our six, seven and eight times tables using our five times tables.  Then we had to represent our work on a google drawing and post to our blog.  I made a screencastify with my friend.  Here it is.  Do you know any other strategy's?

How to use your chrome book responsibly

WALT: Use your chrome book responsibly.

Today in Cybersmart my class and I made a padlet about the Kawa of Care.  We made one about how to use your chrome book responsibly and what happens when don't use it responsibly.

Here is the padlet.

How do you use your technology responsibly?

Would you rather be a movie star or a sports star.

WALT: Provide reasons in a argument.

In Writing today we had to write if we wanted to be a movie star or a sports star.  I chose movie star because I am good at acting.

These are my reasons.

What would you rather be?

I would rather be a movie star because I am good at acting.

I am NOT sporty at all, and I would rather read from a script and act than run, throw and jump.

Although I am quite good at high jump and long jump but that is it.

Besides there will always be new movies to act in, but there isn't always sports tournaments.

That is why I would rather be a movie star than a sports star.

Would you rather

WALT: To write if we want to always eat hot food or cold food.
I chose hot food.  Here is why.

I would rather always eat hot food than cold food.

Hot food means you have something for dinner because tell me three things that you can have for dinner that’s meant to be cold.  My teeth are sensitive so I can't touch cold things with my teeth.  Half the things I eat are hot.

Every dinner I eat is hot.

That is why I would rather have hot food.

What would you have?

Area

WALT: Calculate the area of shapes by knowing the perimeter.
In maths we had to calculate the area of shapes by knowing the perimeter.
I found it sort of fun sort of not fun.
Do you know the difference between area and perimeter?

Paul's journey.

WALT: Track Paul's journey across the map.
In RE we had to track Paul's journey for his deliveries.  Each text box is the same colour as the line showing his journey.  It was soooo fun to track his journey's across his country.  I did it on google drawings
and took a screenshot of it.  Here it is.
Do you know some of these places??

Dr Suess

WALT: make up a word that rhymes with churro's.
I did it on a google document.  It was fun and easy to do.  Here it is.

One day I decided to have a churro.

Then I had a gurro.

Gurro means a gooey churro.

Do you have any made up words?

It's alright to make mistakes.

WAL: It's okay to make mistakes.
In RE we had to make  a poster that explains it's okay to make mistakes.  I made a poster with my friends.   We did it on paper and took a photo of it.
How many mistakes do you make every day?

WAL: What life was like in early church.

On Tuesday Room 3 had a feast.  In the days of Aquila and Priscillla they had a feast.  they invited the poor and the rich.  Room three acted it out.  Mr Gray took a photo and I copied it so here is the photo.  [ I copied it with permission.]
Have you ever missed out on something like this?
